Why do you think that the director (who is from India, former colony of England) shows the England Empire as the greatest and most powerfull one?
In my opinion, that shows the effects of Englands power in their former colonies, how in some way they imposed their life style, education, political systems and ways of seeing life. But in our times, this is a little bit strange, because most of the former colonies want to dissociate from their ex empires, due to all they had lost in those times.
