Simone Simons the lead vocalist from the Dutch Symphonic Metal band Epica.

2.- What Creative techniques are used to attract my attention?

In first place, the voice of the mezzo-soprano Simone Simons, because it's one of the songs that she performs all her capabilities, like high notes in both classical and jazz style. I also like the melody and the musical composition too.  

3.- How might different people understand this message differently?

The song can be interpreted by people who lost and miss some beloved relative (who died), but some other people might understand it in a way as the melancholy for the flow of time that no one can stop it.

4.- What values, lifestyles and points of view are represented in, or omitted from this message ?

In the message of the song, the most remarkable can be the value of the people next to you and how they support and go with you by your side.

5.- Why is this message being sent?

Simone and the band, make the song to recall in their fans how they handle about their own feelings. It’s the one of the only two ballads in the “Design Your Universe” album, she (Simone) writes that song because a relative death however to confer to the album a soft change and a beautiful feeling.
