Culture/Religion the same or back up?

as far as i have seen every country have their local culture that its affected by the enviroment, inmigrants, flora, fauna, etc, but the main factor or the one that have the most impact its the religion even so that they dictate on how to live.
it can be seen on japan with the bushido, china with taoism, india with budism, and the western continent with christianity and its many branches, so my question is why does the world need something like the religion to guide their lives when with a little effort you can be free to choose to live however you want without affecting anyone.

  1. I think that people always need something to believe in, imagine that all religions started because natives didn't know how the things were made, and they thought that all was created by a "special force" or a "divinity". So we still have this thought, because people think that they are not autonomous. And religion, fro me, is nathing that another way to manipulate the world. I think that with respect and trolerance we can make a society much better as today.

  2. I'm an active member of the Catholic church and I've been raised and educated in a Catholic school as well. For me, my religion is such an important part of my life. I couldn't picture myself without it. I've been volunteering myself for charity over the last 4 years in a teenage community called EJE SALESIANO which is part of my ex-high school's associations. We visit orphanages and rest-homes in order to make them happy. My point of view is that we are free to choose whether we follow or not certain relegion, it's all up to us. In my case I've decided to be part of the Catholic church and we should start respecting others decisions, if you are not interested in religion, then don't follow it, but respect the ones who do.

  3. About religion I think it was necessary. Religion gave to the first humans answers to things that they couldn´t explain and also gave them a reason not to worry about death. Now this beliefs explained death and made humans feel secure and this made religion extremely important. Then as humans evolve they need a more complex way of organization so they used something that no one would question, because how would you dare to question the one thing that assures you of what happens when you die?
As our brain evolved people were able to answer some of the questions that religion gave, but still we don't know what or if something happens after death. So as long as people feel insecure about the afterlife religion will be needed
